Moelfre Playing Fields

Play Wales Policy Statement on Children’s Play states:
‘We all know how valuable the play process is to the healthy development and learning of children and young people. All children need time to play freely, relax and have fun during their day, no matter how old they are, what culture they come from, their economic background, or what physical or learning impairments they may have’

We believe all children are entitled to quality play provision within their communities, and we are proud of facilities offered locally.

Due to successful grant applications over the years the playing fields compromise a good selection of equipment including swings and slides as well as a fenced purpose built play area specifically for under 10 year olds.

We are one of the few villages on the island who also provide an all-weather five a side football pitch, as well as a tennis court widely used by all ages within the community.

The playing fields are ideally located next to Moelfre Community School and overlooked by houses, making it a safe location for children to enjoy themselves.

Moelfre Community Council is responsible for equipment and maintenance of the playing fields.
